Summer in the city

It's a very hot Saturday in Boston and we're hunkered down in the a-c, hoping that tonight will bring much cooler weather. (Wunderground says it will, but I'm skeptical.) Christopher is going on Monday to get his stitches out and find out what his physical therapy will be like. We're a little concerned because he doesn't have a lot of time left to take off and the p.t. will last at least 6 weeks. There's a faint hope that he can get Saturday appointments.

Last night was a great night in the Ferry family. Jen took pity on my sleep-deprived self (teething is hard on everyone) and came over and watched May while Christopher and I went and had dinner without anyone throwing food on the floor! Then we went and watched a movie: The Bourne Ultimatum. It was very good, and not just because we had a few rare hours to ourselves.

Other than that, there's not a lot going on. We're enjoying one of our rare weekends without major events -- certainly the first since the accident. We went out this morning and bought new drinking glasses since most of ours have broken lately. Christopher is reading and May is napping which is, frankly, nothing short of a miracle. She really hasn't been sleeping well at all. I'm hoping that now that the tooth is through, she'll sleep better. It's Slaughter Saturday so later today we'll get to go pick up our chickens from Pete and Jen. (I made up the name "Slaughter Saturday" but Christopher says he's not sure it's going to catch on.).

And, since all of this is very dull, I thought I'd include another movie of May at the beach.
