Christmas craziness
Sorry for the dearth of posts here -- it's been pretty madcap around the Ferry household lately.
Here are four quickies to keep you happy. You can see more at the Kodak Gallery. Jen, other than loaning us her camera, had nothing to do with these so don't blame her for the somewhat imperfect composition.

Let's see... May has made some big leaps lately. She sets the table pretty much by herself and does a very good job of it. I just have to square things up a little. She has so many words I can't believe it and picks others up out of the thin air. Every pine tree is a "Christmas tree!" If you say "Where?" she will point and say, with an air of exasperation, "right there!" She loves to see Santas and reindeer.
As you can see from the photos above, she prefers wearing Daddy's hat to her own hat. She will wear his nordic one with the flap ears and his Red Sox watchman's cap, and no other. She has come to love her mittens though she will not put them on without the mitten song. ("Thumb in the thumb-place, fingers all together! This is the song we sing in mitten weather!")
She's memorized all of her favorite books (and most of the rest) and will recite them happily. But she still insists on us reading them to her. If I never read "Curious George Rides" again it will be too soon.
