Visit to Ipswich River Sanctuary and First Snow of the Winter!
Back before Thanksgiving, we all went for one last trip out the the Ipswich River Audubon Sanctuary before the snows come in winter and make tromping through the woods tougher. We soon found we were being followed by a group of songbirds - chickadees, nuthatches, a titmouse, and at least one cardinal. When we broke out some granola for May to munch on, the chickadees swooped down to eat some right out of Amanda's hand! May tried to have the birds eat out of her hand, but she was too surprised by how their little claws are. Then we went out for ice cream with the Hobermans and their new dog Bisbane.

And today we had the first (measurable) snowfall, that turned our Bike Path into a vision out of Currier & Ives.
